James founded Marprop in late 2007 following 15 years’ experience in commercial property markets in Australia, commencing in residential property development and then moving into commercial investment and then fund and asset management. James is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is Director and Responsible Manager of Marprop Financial Services Pty Ltd, a holder of Australian Financial Services Licence (no. 487440). Prior to founding Marprop, James gained experience in roles as an Executive and Director with Savills, Chesterton International, Project Control Group and Divome.   View on Linkedin

Juerg Erismann

Director Fund & Asset Management

Juerg is the Director of Fund & Asset Management and leads the institutional and private capital investment team. Juerg built up his extensive knowledge over the last 20 years in international markets including Asia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, US and Switzerland. For the last 10 years, Juerg has focused on Australia and Asia, and prior to joining Marprop was responsible for founding and managing the Australian office for a large Swiss institutional investment foundation. Lachlan Bonser

Lachlan Bonser has acted as a Company Secretary with Marprop entities since 2018. He has worked with businesses in Australia as an external advisor and maintains a role on client Advisory Boards. He has over 19 years of experience in Chartered Accounting and Business Advisory Services.
In 2016 Lachlan established a Chartered Accounting Business, LB Advisory Chartered Accountants working closely with clients on establishing and maintaining reliable financial reporting and governance procedures.
Lachlan is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Tax Institute, is a Registered Tax Agent, Registered ASIC Agent and a Justice of the Peace in NSW. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting. View on Linkedin

Ben Simmons

Ben is responsible for analysis and commercial transactions, including financial modelling and the transaction management process. Prior to joining Marprop, Ben had four years real estate experience working in London at CBRE in Valuation & Advisory. Before moving to Australia, Ben qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a RICS Registered Valuer and gained a Master’s degree in International Real Estate from University College London. Kimberly Lagat

GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

B Comm (Accounting) GradDipCA, member of Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA). 

As Financial Controller Kimberly holds overall responsibility for the Finance and Accounting function for the Marprop Group, along with all assets and funds managed by Marprop. With a strong background in tax and compliance within professional service firms, and more recently acting as Group Financial Controller for a large commercial organisation, she led teams covering the Financial Operations of the company across Budgeting, Management Accounting & Analysis. Perry Hume

Independent Compliance Officer

Perry has 30 years experience in financial and corporate regulation. Perry ensures the Marprop Group and funds managed by Marprop are meeting and exceeding all compliance standards. Perry started his career in the Australian Federal Police where he specialised in fraud and white-collar crime investigations and criminal prosecutions. In the mid 1990’s Perry worked with the Australian Securities & Investments Commission where he led a highly skilled team of investigators and lawyers responsible for criminal and civil actions against companies and individuals in breach of the Corporations Act.
After graduating with Honours in law at UTS, Perry moved to the private sector where he spent the next 10 years in senior compliance roles advising Zurich Financial Services, Deutsche Asset Management and BT Financial Services.
