ESG at Marprop - Creating Sustainable Value in Commercial Real Estate

Integrating environmental, social, and governance principles into every decision to future-proof assets and enhance tenant experience

Environmental

Net Zero by 2035: We are on a journey aiming to achieve Net Zero across our commercial property portfolio by 2035. We are implementing initiatives based on the UN Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) which works to understand the investment implications of ESG factors and incorporate these factors into investment and ownership decisions.

Energy Efficiency: We invest in energy-efficient technologies, such as renewable energy sources (solar panels, etc.) and advanced HVAC systems, to reduce carbon footprints in our properties. Waste Management: we develop comprehensive waste management strategies, focusing on recycling and reducing landfill contributions.

Social

We are proud to be a corporate partner with TWO GOOD CO., helping make a difference to women’s lives. With a vision to demonstrate love & respect, and social enterprise, Two Good Co employs vulnerable women to create beautiful gifts and food, giving them a pathway out of living in crisis.

Employment is where Two Good Co creates the greatest social impact. Their Work Workpaid employment program bridges a ‘love and skills’ gap in the marketplace, empowering vulnerable women to re-establish their self-belief and independence.

We are supporting this important initiative by introducing Two Good Co washroom consumables across our buildings around Australia, using their beautiful products as gifts to our customers and partners, and enjoying their catering when we host boardroom lunches. Head to the Two Good Co website to learn more about their impact.

Governance

Risk Management: We have implemented robust risk management frameworks to identify and mitigate ESG-related risks, ensuring long-term sustainability and resilience.

Compliance and Reporting: We adhere to all relevant regulations and standards regarding ESG and regularly report on ESG performance to our stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement: We engage with our investors, our team, and our tenant customers to gather feedback on ESG initiatives, ensuring that stakeholder interests are considered in decision-making processes. Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuously improving our ESG strategies and practices, learning from our experiences, setting measurable targets and regularly assessing progress to drive further enhancements.
