    James Marshall

    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    James founded Marprop in late 2007 following 15 years’ experience in commercial property markets in Australia, commencing in property development and then commercial investment sales and finally funds and investment management.

    James is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is Director and Responsible Manager of Marprop Financial Services Pty Ltd, a holder of Australian Financial Services Licence (no. 487440). Prior to founding Marprop, James gained experience in roles as an Executive and Director with Savills, Chesterton International, Project Control Group and Divome.

    Nik Megay

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Nik is responsible for financial performance and strategy across Marprop’s properties, funds and corporate entities. Nik also leads the day-to-day operations of Marprop across funds & asset management, and is responsible for Marprop’s institutional capital relationships.

    Nik is a director on all Marprop corporate and trustee entities, is a responsible manager on the AFSL, and is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ.

    Matthew Banks

    ADVISORY BOARD

    Matthew Banks has over 30 years of real estate experience, spanning commercial, retail, residential, and industrial sectors. At Macquarie Group, he oversaw global real estate funds, investments, and projects, serving on boards and the MIRA Real Estate Committee.

    Matthew led key divisions during Macquarie's global expansion and played a pivotal role in joint ventures, capital structures, development, and construction. Prior to Macquarie, he was CEO of Lend Lease Corporation’s Real Estate Investment businesses in the U.S., Asia, and Australia.

    Darren Holland

    ADVISORY BOARD

    Darren Holland is a high-performance coach and property entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in building winning cultures, developing leaders, and scaling businesses. He coaches CEOs on goal setting, time management, accountability, and culture. As CEO and co-founder of Aventus, an ASX-listed retail property company, Darren grew it from one centreto 55, valued at $4.5 billion after its 2022 merger with HomeCo. He previously played a key role at Homemaker Retail Group and holds a Bachelor of Business (Land Economics) from the University of Western Sydney.

    Joshua Roberts

    PORTFOLIO MANAGER

    Joshua oversees asset management across the Marprop’s properties, driving asset performance and value creation. He works closely with the finance team to reposition assets to provide optimum returns for Marprop’s investors. With over 17 years of experience managing commercial real estate across Asia and Australia, Joshua brings a diverse approach to the Marprop team.

  • David Wong

    FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

    David oversees the financial performance, compliance, and internal controls of Marprop’s corporate entities, funds, and properties. He plays a key role in strategic decision-making and capital management. He works closely with the asset management team to provide financial oversight across Marprop’s operations. David is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ.

  • Tom Dixon

    TRANSACTION MANAGER

    Tom joins Marprop as Transactions Manager, responsible for leasing and capital transactions across the portfolio. Tom brings over 10 years’ experience across New Zealand, the UK, Europe and North America. Before joining Marprop, he led major leasing and capital transactions at CBRE London for global clients such as AstraZeneca and IQVIA. He has deep expertise across office, industrial and life sciences assets, with a strong track record in deal execution, portfolio strategy and value creation.

    Melinda Mangelsdorf

    EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

    Melinda is a key driver of strategic initiatives across the business, providing dedicated support to the Managing Director in investor relations and executive operations. Additionally, she plays a crucial role in managing a diverse range of key projects, highlighted by her leadership of Marprop’s marina division prior to its successful divestment in 2023.

    Brandon Twigley

    FINANCE MANAGER

    Brandon is responsible for financial management and reporting across Marprop’s property and fund portfolios. He supports strategic planning and performance analysis, and plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Brandon works closely with asset and fund management teams to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency across Marprop’s platforms. He is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ.

    Andrew McGhee

    ASSET MANAGER

    Andrew is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of Marprop’s commercial property portfolio. He brings over 12 years’ experience in asset and property management across institutional, corporate, and private real estate, with previous roles at Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, and Memocorp Australia. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Property) from Western Sydney University and is a licensed Real Estate Agent in NSW. He is known for his pragmatic approach and strong commercial focus.

    Edward Banks

    ASSOCIATE ASSET MANAGER

    Edward is an Associate Asset Manager at Marprop Real Estate Investors, supporting the management of our national commercial office portfolio. He focuses on value creation through leasing, capital works, and asset repositioning initiatives. With a background in finance and a strong interest in real estate investment, he brings a proactive and analytical approach to driving performance across Marprop’s assets.

    Rachael Callister

    EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT & TEAM COORDINATOR

    Rachael is the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer at Marprop and plays a key role in driving coordination and execution across the business. She manages day-to-day operations, oversees administration, and leads Marprop’s branding and marketing initiatives. Rachael ensures projects run smoothly and consistently reflects the company’s ethos across all touchpoints.

    Lachlan Bonser

    COMPANY SECRETARY

    Lachlan has acted as Company Secretary for Marprop entities since 2018. He has worked with businesses in Australia as an external advisor and maintains a role on client Advisory Boards. He has over 19 years of experience in Chartered Accounting and Business Advisory Services establishing LB Advisory Chartered Accountants in 2016. Lachlan is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Tax Institute, is a Registered Tax Agent, Registered ASIC Agent and a Justice of the Peace in NSW.

    Perry Hume

    COMPLIANCE

    Perry has over 30 years’ experience in financial and corporate law. His career spans roles as a regulator with ASIC, lawyer, and compliance/risk manager, having commenced with the Australian Federal Police as a Detective specialising in white collar crime. In 1998, Perry moved into senior legal and compliance roles at Zurich Financial Services, Deutsche Asset Management, and BT Financial Group. He later founded his own consultancy, which merged with Madison Marcus Law Firm. In 2024, Perry left Madison Marcus to launch FinServ Compliance, returning to specialist financial compliance work for his long-standing private clients.
